Kate-Michelle Simms (née Von Riegen) is an actress, singer and writer based in Western Sydney. Born and raised in the beautiful Blue Mountains region, she first caught the acting bug in her high school years thanks to an incredibly supportive drama teacher. While her appearance in ‘Pete Boone, Private Eye’ marks her onscreen debut, Kate-Michelle is an experienced stage actress, most recently playing the starring role of Bella Manningham in a production of ‘Gaslight’ (Dir: Kylie Lowe).

Her other stage credits include the role of Amy March in ‘Little Women’ (Dir: Linda Holland), Marla “Smitty” Smith in ‘Play On!’ (Dir: Tracy Crerar) and Corinne in ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ (Dir: Benjamin Roorda). She has also appeared as part of the ensemble in several musicals such as ‘Cats’ (Dir: Virginia Fortunat), ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ (Dir: Virginia Fortunat) and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (Dir: Josephine Dwyer).

Kate-Michelle is also an award-winning author, winning Narrator International’s ‘Whatever was he thinking’ competition in 2014 with her haunting poem, ‘The Final Judgement’. The following year she published a collection of her short stories under the title ‘Behind Their Eyes: a collection of perspectives’.
