PETER WARNER was the first in a long line of Peters to portray PETE BOONE, PRIVATE EYE. He first appeared in an episode of THE RICK FORD FILES: ‘The Kleptomaniacal Con Artist Case’, as Richard Ford’s new detective apprentice - with the name of Peter Boone. [Premiered at the Tommas Ball Theatre 13/04/80.] After a ‘Who Shot R.F.?’ cliff hanger, Peter starred in the spin-off series PETE BOONE, PRIVATE EYE [‘Nutcherally’ Premiered 04/09/81.] Peter continued in the title role through the 80s (then came Peters Book & Attwood) before taking on the role of Dirk Lombarde when the cult hit comedy series moved on Community Television throughout the 2000s. The photos below show Peter Warner as Pete Boone in the late 80s. Rumour has it that Peter has his eye on playing Inspector Gravel and Constable O’Flynn in the decades to come!
